Research InterestsMy areas of interest are cross-language speech perception and speech production. I am particularly interested in how bilinguals perceive and produce speech in their different languages. I am also interested in investigating how language changes occur, for example, by comparing speakers in migrant communities to native speakers still living in their country of birth. Representative PublicationsAntoniou, M., Best, C.T., Tyler, M.D., & Kroos, C. (2008, June). Greek-Australian bilinguals match the VOTs of Greek and Australian English native speakers depending on language context. Poster presented at LabPhon 11, Wellington, New Zealand. Antoniou, M., Best, C.T., & Tyler, M.D. (2008). Perceptual evidence of Modern Greek voiced stops as phonological categories. To be presented at Interspeech 2008, Brisbane, Australia.
