Research InterestsI am currently working for PARADISEC on several projects. The main project is developing a tool to aid fieldworkers in marking up digital data with relevant metadata for submission to an archive or repository. My interests are endangered languages, language description and documentation (especially digital fieldwork), Syntax-Pragmatics, Information Structure and Discourse Pragmatics, and Australian and Papuan languages. I am currently working on a project to map cognate densities in Northern Australian (mostly non pama-nyungan) languages. I am also working on the language Fas, spoken in North-western Papua New Guinea from data collected in 2005-2006 in the field.
