Research Interests

I am a PhD student at the Centre for Language Technology at Macquarie University. The goal of my research work is to develop methods for generating naturalistic speech and facial expressions that support communication in Embodied Conversational Agents (ECAs). An ECA is a software agent that has a visual virtual presence and can communicate with a user via speech. Such a system is currently being developed by the researchers working on the Thinking Head project (http://thinkinghead.edu.au).
