Research Interests

I am interested in both theoretical and applied aspect of emotional dysfunction following brain damage. My laboratory research investigates emotional reactivity and its relation to the location of brain lesion. This may use stimuli such as film clips designed to elicit specific emotional response and assessing the patient's reactivity using psychophysiological response , video and self report measures. A further area of research which focusses on remediation of emotional dysfunction is focussed on training stroke patients to assess and respond appropriately to interpersonal interactions. In this way my research is aimed a combination of assessment and taylored remedial strategies.
