Research InterestsMy research interests include the perception of static and dynamic neutral or emotional visual stimuli. I have recently completed my PhD at the University of Western Sydney under the supervision of Associate Professor Kate Stevens and Professor Andreas Ioannides. The experiments reported in my thesis investigated the effect of briefly presented emotional static and dynamic hand gestures and faces on visual attention.
I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate with Associate Professors Justin Harris and Colin Clifford at the University of Sydney. My present project investigates the perception of visual stimuli using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Specifically, I am exploring facilitation effects in the visual perception when using sub-threshold TMS. In addition, I am programming to be able to control Rapid2 TMS apparatus through a serial link to implement computer-controlled adaptive phosphene threshold estimation procedure to replace manual phosphene threshold estimation procedure currently in place.
