Research Interests

Generally speaking, I am interested in the processes of categorisation, conceptualisation and representation, fundamental to most aspects of human cognition. More specifically, I am interested in the categorisation, conceptualisation and representation of speech sounds. I am particularly interested in the interface between theoretical and applied phonology, and have worked extensively on applications in the areas of language and literacy education.
