Research Interests

My general interests include Lexical-Functional Grammar, morphological theory, syntactic typology and the syntax-semantic interface. I'm particularly interested in the consequences of combining linear-logic-based 'glue semantics' with lexical-functional grammar, which could be seen as a sort of combination of the ideas of Chomsky, Lambek and traditional grammar. A recent current project is to develop a computational grammar (using the Xerox PARC XLE system) and a corpus for Indonesian, working with I Wayan Arka (ANU) and Jane Simpson (Sydney University).
