Research Interests

I am interested in the brain mechanisms underpinning normal language, language impairments, and recovery of language after neurological injury. I conduct psycholinguistic studies in adults with neurogenic communication disorders, and investigate the influence of pharmacological agents on language processing, word learning, and language treatment after stroke. Some techniques used include functional MRI, event-related potentials, and divided visual field tasks.
