Research InterestsDr. Lemai Nguyen is a Senior Lecturer at School of Information Systems, Deakin University. Her primary contributions are to the study of creativity and problem solving activities in Requirements Engineering. Other areas of her research contributions include healthcare informatics, socio-technical aspects of virtual communities, online learning and information systems generally. Lemai has expertise in ethnography, interpretive case studies, and action research in information systems. Her research is published in many international journals, conferences, and book chapters. Currently Lemai is engaged in collaborative research in improving social connection in community based aged care. Dr. Lemai Nguyen is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Social and Humanistic Computing (IJSHC), International Journal of Technology Enhanced Learning (IJTEL), International Journal of Advanced Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing, and a reviewer for various other journals, for example International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Electronic Commerce Research Journal, and Journal of Information Systems and Small Business. Lemai Nguyen has served on the Steering Committee of the Australian Workshop on Requirements Engineering since 2002. She has been a programme chair for various AWRE events and serves on different program committees for numerous international conferences. Lemai is also the Chair of Scientific Committee for Aged Care Informatics Symposium 2009 to be held in conjunction with Health Informatics Conference, and Academic Programme Chair for Australian Workshop on Requirements Engineering AWRE'09.
