Research Interests

Michael Arnold is a lecturer in the History and Philosophy of Science Programme in the School of Philosophy, Anthropology and Social Inquiry at the University of Melbourne. He teaches subjects informed by the social studies of technology, and his current research projects are concerned with technologies in domestic contexts, technological change in the home, and a comparative study of social networking in the Asia-Pacific region. The work described in the proposed paper was conducted whilst he was a visiting scholar at the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies at the University of Cambridge.
