Research Interests

My primary research is Arts based with interest is in developing systems that facilitate the crossing of boundaries in various Art forms. The processes are usually not based within scientific protocols or systems, preferring a subjective and less quantifiable approach, with the focus being on the Art making. I am currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Media at RMIT, under Dr Damian Schofield and Dr Marsha Berry, that explores this. My other interests include the processes of creativity and the development of performance works that are based fundamentally on, and generated through, computer technologies. Research students’ interests include the use of long tones in influencing audience perception of a performance space, developing a return to aural histories in indigenous youth culture, and the flux between abstract and concrete images in computer based animation.
