Research Interests

I am interested and engaged in developmental paediatrics with a focus on language disorder. In an earlier Masters in Cognitive Science I investigated models of reasoning over nested beliefs and the complexity of mental state representations underpinning theory of mind capabilities. Current work as co-researcher with Associate Professor Lesley Stirling in an ARC funded Discovery grant deals with an analysis of perspectivisation and episodic macrostructure in written narratives from typically developing children and children with autism. This research aims to further detail developmental and pathological aspects of narrative performance in an attempt to better understand language disorder phenotypes and social cognition.
