Research Interests

My past research has investigated a perceptual bias for looming auditory motion in a simple musical context. This bias is an overestimation of loudness change for tones that increase in intensity, relative to those that decrease in intensity. I am currently interested in the sensory and/or cognitive mechanisms that underpin this perceptual asymmetry.
