SummerFest '06 will be held at Sancta Sophia College, within the grounds of the University of Sydney.

Sancta Sophia College is located on the western side of the University campus near the intersection of Parramatta Road and Missenden Road. Please note that entry to the College is either via the main gates off Missenden Road or you can enter through the University of Sydney gates and walk across St John's Oval. Once inside the College, signs will direct you to the appropriate room for your nominated session.

Getting to the College by Public Transport

Public transport to the College is very accessible and highly recommended. Regular bus services depart the CBD and Central Station and travel along Parramatta Road and/or Missenden Road to the College. The travel time from Central Station to the College is approximately 10-15 minutes and there are several bus stops within an easy walking distance to the college. The bus fare from the CBD to the College is $2.80 (adult) or $1.40 (concession). Further information on specific bus routes is listed below:

Route 412: King Street Wharf--Town Hall--Central Station--Parramatta Road--Missenden Road (alight at St John's College located adjacent to Sancta Sophia College)
Route 413: King Street Wharf--Town Hall--Central Station--Parramatta Road (alight near the intersection of Parramatta Road and Missenden Road)
Routes 435, 436, 437, 438: Circular Quay--Town Hall--Central Station--Parramatta Road (alight near the intersection of Parramatta Road and Missenden Road)
Routes 480, 483: Town Hall--Central Station--Parramatta Road (alight near the intersection of Parramatta Road and Missenden Road)

If you are catching a train, the closest stations to the College are Redfern Station (15 minute walk through the University campus) and Newtown Station (25 minute walk along King Street and Missenden Road). Alternatively, you can catch a train all the way into Central Station and then join one of the many bus routes listed above all of which stop within an easy walking distance to the College.

Getting to the College by Car

The College is located 7km from the airport, with an approximate travelling time of 20 minutes. The most direct route from the airport is to travel via the Princes Highway through Petersham, onto King Street in Newtown and then into Missenden Road at Camperdown. An approximate taxi fare for this trip is $20-25. The College is located 4km from the CBD, with an approximate travelling time of 5-10 minutes. From the CBD, follow Broadway through Ultimo, onto Parramatta Road through Glebe and into Missenden Road at Camperdown. An approximate taxi fare for this trip is $10-15.

Limited car parking within the College grounds is available for $7 per day (or $35 per week). If you intend to park within the College grounds you'll need to contact with the SummerFest '06 organisers prior to the conference so arrangements for a gate pass can be made. Alternatively, public car parking is available in the parking station located between St John's College and RPA Hospital on Missenden Road.
