SummerFest '06: Travel

SummerFest '06 Presenters

Travel subsidies to attend SummerFest '06 will be available to individuals who present either a summer school lecture, student poster, speed paper or workshop session over the course of the conference. To be eligible for a travel subsidy you must submit a title and abstract for one of the above sessions by Friday 8 September 2006 (for workshop submissions) or Friday 15 September 2006 (for student poster and speed paper submissions). You will be notified if your submission has been accepted by Friday 29 September 2006.

If your submission is accepted, HCSNet will cover the cost of your travel to attend SummerFest '06 if you live outside of the Sydney metro area (and you are travelling from within Australia only). We will cover the cost of your flight, train or bus fare to Sydney, however we will not cover the cost of your taxi fares to and from the airport / bus terminal etc.

Please indicate on your online Registration Form if you require a travel subsidy to attend SummerFest '06. On your Registration Form you will be asked to nominate your preferred departure and arrival dates and our travel agent will endeavour to meet your needs. Please note that HCSNet will only cover your travel costs if we prepare your itinerary for you through the registration process. Under no circumstances we will reimburse you for travel expenses that you have incurred by arranging your own travel independent of the registration process.

SummerFest '06 Non-Presenters

If you are not presenting either a summer school lecture, student poster, speed paper or workshop session over the course of the conference you will not be entitled to any financial assistance from HCSNet. In this case you are expected to make and purchase your own travel arrangements to attend SummerFest '06.
