The HCSNet Conference will feature plenary presentations from
Justine Cassell, credited with developing
the Embodied Conversational Agent (ECA) concept [abstract];
Stelarc, the
Australian-based performance artist whose work explores and extends
the concept of the body and its relationship with technology through
human/machine interfaces [abstract]; and
Professor Elim Papadakis, Executive Director for Social, Behavioural and Economic Sciences at the Australian Research Council [abstract].
The conference will also contain:
an innovative speed paper session, where researchers are invited to
introduce their research interests to the broader HCSNet community and
to obtain interdisciplinary feedback;
