We are pleased to announce the new ICFHR established from IWFHR as a natural promotion after ten intensive and productive editions held around the world: Montreal, Chateau de Bonas, Taipei, Colchester, Taejon, Amsterdam, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Tokyo and La Baule. This time it will take place on August 19-21, 2008 in Montreal, Quebec.

The ICFHR/IWFHR series of conferences/workshops provide a forum to researchers in the areas of on-line and off-line recognition of handwriting, pen-based interface systems for the processing of multilingual handwritten documents and forms. The program committee invites the submission of papers for inclusion in the Conference. All accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings, and the authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work in the form of oral presentations or posters.
