Research area: CHI, Multimedia, High-bandwidth Tele-communication - Human-Computer InteractionClaudia was born and raised in Germany. She received a French Diploma in Applied Mathematics and Economics (Licence M.A.S.S.) in 1993 and a dual Masters degree in mathematics and economics from Karlsruhe University, Germany, in 1996. After being awarded an MBA from the College des Ingénieurs in Paris/Stuttgart in 1997 she gained industry experience with the SAP headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. In 2002, the University of Mannheim, Germany, awarded her with a PhD in Computer Sciences in the interdisciplinary field of multimedia and human-computer interaction. After relocating to Australia in May 2002, Claudia was teaching with Macquarie University before she started a PostDoc project with the CSIRO in 2003. Since 2005, Claudia is holding a position as a Research Scientist in the ICTC where she is leading the project Virtual Media Office. Claudia is also the CSIRO Science Leader in the HxI Initiative (http://www.hxi.org.au) and the interim Science Leader Multimedia. Recent publications include:

The Wiki aims to allow HCSNet participants to contribute to the development of a comprehensive HCS reference by members editing existing content and/or adding new content. Our sub-discipline summaries form the basis of the Wiki - thank you to all our student authors. Some of the issues recently considered by the Human Communication Science Curriculum Development Working Group are also available, and we'll be posting proposed Summer School topics for 2007 for further comment. So far, we have 14 pages in the Wiki. Please feel free to contribute by modifying or extending existing pages, and by adding new ones.
