This workshop will provide an overview and evaluation of all the major biometrics including Iris, Face, Finger print, Hand/Finger Geometry and Voice Recognition. The basic concepts of biometric technologies will be covered, in addition to a brief introduction to the theory of biometrics. In particular, the physics and theory implementation, and performance and problems of the iris, face, fingerprint and voice recognition will be discussed. With respect to biometric technologies, the workshop will give a brief description of current technologies as well as future technology trends. A brief introduction to biometric assessment and best practice in biometric testing will be given, as well as a discussion of world wide efforts to date and future trends in evaluation. The workshop will conclude with a discussion on where biometrics are heading in the future.
