The HCSNet Events Database contains information on three kinds of events:
- Upcoming Seminars: this section contains announcements concerning seminars and colloquia around Australia in areas of interest to Human Communication Science;
- Calls for Papers: this section contains calls for papers for international conferences and workshops in areas of interest to Human Communication Science; and
- Upcoming Events: this section contains information about conferences and workshops in areas of interest to Human Communication Science.

We welcome submissions of information to be incorporated into our database. There are two ways you can contribute material:
- Simply forward the complete text of any announcements you consider relevant to announce@hcsnet.edu.au.
- Become an area editor, providing a broad range of announcements in your area of interest.
When sending announcements to announce@hcsnet.edu.au, please note that we do very minimal filtering of information received via this email address: essentially, all we do is check to see whether the event is already in the database. Data is added to the database using administrative support that is not necessarily expert in the domain, so you can help by doing the following:
- Indicate in the subject header, or at the start of the forwarded message, whether the announcement is for the 'Upcoming Seminars', 'CFPs', or the 'Upcoming Events' section of the newsletter.
- Please don't use a mail forwarding configuration that prepends characters (such as '>') to each line.
- If possible, check to see if the event is already in the database before submitting it.
